Driving from the highroad Bari-Brindisi-Lecce
The highroad SS613 Brindisi-Lecce became Viale Porta d'Europa soon as you enter the city. Turn right at the second roundabout to Via Francesco Calasso and continue straight untill the first historic column named Obelisco (on your left you will see the Arch of Triumph or Porta Napoli). Keep driving straight to Viale dell'Universita' (University street) untill you meet on your left the second door of the city named Porta Rudiae. Turn around and drive on the other side of the road (you now need to see Porta Rudiae on your right side). 30 metres after you have left Porta Rudiae on your right side you have a parking area at the following costs: 0,60 cents per hour from 9.00-14.00 and from 16.00-21.00, the park is free at night, between 2 and 4 pm and every Sumday or bank holiday. The steps from the park will lead you in via Galateo inside the historic centre, our B&B is at number 43. Please note that Historic Centre is a ZTL area (Limited Traffic Zone) and from 9 pm to 6 am during the week and all day on Sunday or bank holidays a video camera are on to check every single car driving inside the old centre. Please avoid to drive inside after 10pm as from our position you can enjoy the best of the city simply walking around.
Walking
To avoid waiting unnecessarily, it is important to arrange your check-in time advising us in advance of your arrival by email, whatsapp or sms at 3334222610.
From the train station, head down the avenue Oronzo Quarta (250m). At the traffic lights, turn left along Viale Gallipoli (400m). Once you have arrived at the end of Viale Gallipoli you come to a cross roads where Via Universita is on your right. Take this right onto Via Universita and continue along the avenue for about 50 meters until you find one of the three gates to the historic center on the right. You are in front of Porta Rudiae, step inside and enjoy the first few steps in the historic center on the main 'corso'. Through the gate, after about 30 meters, take the first street on the left called Via Antonio Galateo and continue for another 100 meters, we are at number 43 on the right side. Look out for our street sign.
